Miami's Hottest New Chef Lends Culinary Expertise to Miami's First Gastrolounge

MIAMI, FL. January 5, 2009. Since bursting onto the Miami catering scene four years ago, AARON'S CATERING has been well-known for its cutting-edge culinary offerings and preparation techniques, which incorporates unusual ingredients, like liquid nitrogen and calcium chloride, to create stylish and innovative food presentations.

So, it was no surprise when 28-year-old Brian Aaron, molecular gastronomic mastermind, chef, and company president, was tapped to develop the distinctive menu and serve as Lab Executive chef for Hed Kandi, Miami's first ultra-modern gastrolounge and "musik lab". With a sleek, contemporary interior, complete with high-tech lighting, plush leather banquettes, and an in-house DJ spinning chill music, Hed Kandi's stylish menu of "gastro-food tapas" blends seamlessly with the lounge's overall vibe.

Hed Kandi, the London-based music label, has provided the world with inimitable style of dance music and launched more than 84 albums. We are widely recognized for the series of eclectic compilations and world famous DJs. Hed Kandi's popularity is mainly attributed to its lavish club events found all over the world. "This is the brand's first permanent lounge in North America," says Brian Aaron. "The menu is geared toward women, and a ‘lounge' atmosphere. All sauces and vinaigrettes are turned into powders, gelatins, foams, airs—and even cotton candy—to provide a fun and glamorous environment. You're not going to find another place like this anywhere in South Florida. We want our guests to interact and have fun at the restaurant. That is what Hed Kandi is all about."
